Remember when gas was 35 cents? How about rotary dial phones? Drive in movies and transistor radio’s were all the rage. We never had a TV in our bedroom. We always had a 45-player. Someone in our family or group of friends had an amazing record collection ( probably still does )and helped expose us to an incredible world of music.
Music can bring us right back to a time and place we can remember with clarity. What were you doing then? What song was playing? Do you remember becoming absorbed in songs you believed help better define you? And there’s always that one song that never gets old. But even as the importance of the memory itself fades, the emotional afterglow tagged to the music lingers.
